Are you planning to establish a taxi or chauffeur-driven private hire business, or take responsibility for managing one? TSA Bildungsakademie in Berlin helps you prepare for the IHK professional competence examination for taxi and private hire operators, commonly referred to in Germany as the “Unternehmerschein”. The course covers legal, commercial and operational foundations of running a passenger transport business. Topics include passenger transport law, costing, bookkeeping, insurance and safe vehicle operation. This knowledge helps you understand business responsibilities and prepare for commercial decisions. The course is intended for prospective business founders, future taxi and private hire operators, and people preparing for a management role. Independent study alongside the lessons is an important part of preparing thoroughly for the examination. The examination is conducted separately by the responsible IHK. After passing, the IHK issues the professional competence certificate. Operating a taxi or private hire business also requires authorisation from the relevant licensing authority. Attending the preparation course does not replace the examination or grant an operator licence. Contact TSA to discuss the course structure, learning topics and your preparation for the IHK examination.
